What We Believe
God:
God is the Creator of the Universe and the author of life. God is eternal, all-powerful, almighty and holy. God is the moral absolute of the Universe. God in essence is goodness and love. He will not tolerate evil.
Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 11 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ:
God revealed himself supremely to the world through Jesus Christ. Jesus was God ‘incarnate’ – in human form. Jesus not only taught us and showed us how to live, but as the Messiah, his mission was to restore man’s relationship with God, a relationship which had been broken when Man sinned and became a hostage to evil. The only was Jesus could ransom us was to pay the ultimate price of death on the cross, taking our sin upon himself and dying in our place. When Jesus rose from the dead, he demonstrated that the penalty had been paid and that he had defeated sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to Earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Man:
Man was created in the image of God to rule over God’s creation and to have fellowship with God. God gave man a perfect world to live in, but by disobeying God and falling into the trap of Satan, he brought the whole creation under a curse and himself under sentence of death. Man remains separated from God because of sin.
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2
The Bible:
The Bible is God’s word to all men. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme reliable source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2Peter 1:20,21; 2Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5
The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, is the agent through whom God works on the Earth. The Holy Spirit was personally sent to all believers after Jesus had left the Earth to comfort them, to empower them, to lead them into the truth and to carry on the work of Jesus through them. The early church first experienced an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a dramatic way with supernatural gifts and signs on the day of Pentecost. We believe that this outpouring is an important part of the life of the Church today
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1
Eternity:
Eternity: Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 1:8; Matthew 2:44,46
Salvation:
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. The grace and power of God maintain salvation, not by the self-effort of the Christian.
